Meet your advisorSamy Yazeed, CTC, is the chairman and founder of American Star Travel International. From 1982 to 1985, shortly after graduating from university, I worked as an Egyptian Liaison Officer with the Egyptian Defense Military Intelligence (DMI). Our responsibilities included the peace treaty with Israel, coordinating relations between Egypt, Israel, the United States, the United Nations, and the MFO (The Multinational Force And Observers). Between 1985 and 1990, the Egyptian Defense Military Intelligence requested that I join and assist in establishing their Travel Agency. My duty was to supervise all security cooperation projects in Egypt, including military exercises, FMS (foreign military sales), military coproduction, and official visits. We were responsible for the critical security components, including transportation and lodging. I was required to work with local security organizations in Egypt and the United States to assure the safety and security of troops on the ground.
Since 1997, I have held the designation CTC (Certified Travel Counselor) from The Travel Institute in Boston, MA. I have extended my study in the travel and management fields through Kellogg Business School at Northwestern University. I recently got credentials from the Defense Security Cooperation University in security cooperation studies and cross-cultural competency / US CENTCOM Regional Orientation. I am currently completing my master's degree in Homeland security/Counter-terrorism at The American military university and intend to pursue a doctorate in the same field. |
